CHALLENGE
M&T Bank is a top-10 bank in the United States, making them one of the largest in the nation. They approached Imagine Staffing in July 2021 with the task of hiring 40 Float Universal Bankers within a two-month period. This was defined as “Mission Critical” to their operation as the goal was imperative to keeping specific branches open and functioning. M&T Bank was lacking the resources needed to hire the necessary volume of candidates within such a short timeframe. Finding and securing Float Bankers in various markets throughout the U.S. who are willing and able to travel to multiple branches day to day is challenging due to transportation requirements, skill-level qualifications, ongoing COVID-19 pandemic concerns, and a volatile employment landscape.
APPROACH
Imagine Staffing offered a strategic Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) model tailor-made to align with M&T Bank’s goals. This allowed for M&T to have a customized solution with a scalable model that provided significant cost savings (over $600,000) and qualified recruiters to directly address their needs. The recruitment resources were ramped up on short notice and Imagine Staffing provided a high degree of agility by realigning, reallocating, and adding resources to their internal team to accomplish the task of high-volume hiring on a constrained timeline. Imagine Staffing managed the sourcing of talent, initial interview screening process, candidate presentation, interview and offer coordination, and consulted in proper onboarding.
SOLUTION
As the project was executed, Imagine Staffing surpassed the original hiring goal of 40, securing 45 placements within two months of launch, which resulted in an extension to the engagement due to exceptional performance. Based on the success of the initial project, this allowed for Imagine Staffing to continue a great relationship with M&T Bank as the RPO operator and hire additional Float Bankers within a four-month period. During this time, Imagine exceeded industry averages in numerous KPI measurement categories including a submit-to-interview ratio of 83% and securing a total of 93 placements throughout the life of the engagement.
